I don’t remember when I started a bullet-pointed wishlist in my notes app, but it’s been pruned and lengthened for long enough to witness several cycles (and my susceptibility to them). Voluminous scrunchies and low-waisted parachute pants will come and go, but desire and the satisfaction of list-making are forever.
This list spans new items across fashion, beauty, interiors and household objects excluding books and everyday supermarket buys. If I were to cluster second-hand things of interest from the various apps I use — Vestiaire Collective, Vinted, Etsy etc. — the note would become too overrun with knickknacks and kitten heels to serve a meaningful function unless I somehow graduated to a much higher tax bracket.
