#80: Postcard from Hong Kong
Episodes from a sticky, hungover week in May.
Two weeks ago I was fortunate enough to cavort through Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai, first with my parents and Ivan, then with a gaggle of old and new friends, and Ivan. Much of the itinerary was assembled by my dear, now married, friends Kes and Grace, so I can’t take credit for the lion’s share of excellent choices made, but I can share snippets with you so you can live vicariously and/or jealously and save things for your next trip.

Because I would be jealous; I’m jealous of Zoe two-weeks-ago, who at the time of writing minus 336 hours was recovering from a peking duck blowout for the ages.
I’m getting ahead of myself! First, Hong Kong, which in May is a familiar beast: muggy (crucially just getting started; summer looms like a threat) but glorious. There is much to share, so I will write about Beijing next week, and Shanghai after that. A three-parter!
