#9: Where I Eat (Part 2)
Share

I’ve always been the kind to eat when stressed. There’s solace in routine, and it’s only in the most manic of situations that I’ll truly forget to feed myself (someday I might tell you about the phone scam that still haunts me to this day and triggered a rare lunch-less day, but I digress). This newsletter is also slowly becoming part of my routine, and for that (and you) I’m very grateful.

The news is still horrendous and I know a lot of us feel powerless at the moment. If you’re organising or know of any charity sales I can share, link them in the comments and I’ll share them in next week’s dispatch.

  • To start: this Sunday, my friends Kati and Rosie are among the fashion girlies selling pre-loved treasures at The Knight on Ladbroke Grove from 10 to 6, with funds going towards the Alliance for Middle East Peace. See you there!

  • Also, Italy’s 2Lab is organising a print sale fundraiser to support Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).

Below, as promised, are more London restaurants I love. I struggled a bit with dividing up the lot but would describe them as ‘wine during, espresso after’ spots: mostly European, and generally more expensive (with a few exceptions) than last week’s list, though this doesn’t make them any more or less worthy of your patronage — it all depends on what you feel like, and how much you’re willing to part with for it.

I generally crave Asian food more (read: all the time) but when it’s a protein and potatoes and/or pie crust you’re after, these spots won’t lead you astray.

This month’s earnings will be donated to Save the Children. Thanks for reading!
